Print of the last Ferrari to be personally signed off by Enzo Ferrari.

One of the most beautiful flowers ever bloomed in Maranello, born from the weather and the result of the ideas of the engineer of Ferrari, who gave birth to one of the most beautiful sports cars ever.

Worldwide shipping, because classic cars lover are everywhere. (and you are a vintage car lover, aren't you?)

This creature is called F40 to celebrate the forty years of Ferrari’s participation in the world of sports competitions and was born on the stylistic and technical basis of the “288 GTO Evoluzione”. The diktat of Ferrari is clear: the clientele wants road cars able to make them entertain also and above all on the track.

The diktat of Ferrari is clear: the clientele wants road cars able to make them entertain also and above all on the track. We must therefore satisfy them, focusing on the performance side.

Enzo Ferrari, at the time, having realized that he still had not much time at his disposal, approached the 90 years of age, asks to do as soon as possible, so as to present the car in summer, when in reality the initial predictions were to reveal it only in October, in the framework of the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The F40 was presented in Maranello on 21 July 1987. Enzo Ferrari was able to see it, and he is enthusiastic about it. Enthusiastic as the specialist critics and, above all, the clientele. The car in fact previews that it comes commercialized in 400 exemplary total.

On 22 July '87, the day after the presentation, Ferrari received more than 900 requests by fax. It is an unprecedented success. Enzo Ferrari will leave a year later, making the F40 the last car of Maranello to have obtained the supervision and approval of the Drake: a legacy that will then be "collected" by Ferrari Enzo, the heir of the F40 in the 2000s.

The F40 immediately became a classic, sought after by the greatest collectors. As soon as it came out it cost about 400 million lire, but it was sold among private individuals to more than a billion, becoming the object of speculation as had never been seen before.

Among the owners also Eric Clapton with a 1991 model.
